The Family Class Sponsorship

The family class sponsorship program allows a Canadian or permanent resident of Canada who is eighteen years of age or older to apply to sponsor a family member to immigrate and settle in Canada. 

Who can be sponsored under family Class ?

  • The sponsor’s spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner.

  • A dependent child of the sponsor.

  • The sponsor’s mother or father.

  • The sponsor’s grandmother or grandfather.

  • The sponsor’s brother, sister, nephew, niece, or grandchild whose parents are Deceased, under 18 years of age, and not married or in a common-law relationship parents.

Requirements to  sponsor someone under family class

You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada :

  • If you’re at least 18 years old and a Canadian citizen.

  • Person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Actor

  • Permanent resident of Canada

Total Government Processing fee

  • Sponsorship and Permanent Resident Application Fee  $550

  • Right of Permanent Residence Fee*$490*
